Apocalypse Equipment?
To improve the overall in-game balance and bring some freshness to the game, we started focusing on gameplay changes since last year. Since Update 6.8, we have a new equipment rarity called 'Apocalypse'. Special Apocalyptic traits can for example increase damage, increase non-body shot chances, or reduce damage taken when fighting with high-level walkers. The larger the level gap is, the more effective these traits are.
Apocalyptic Traits are automatically available upon receiving the equipment; no need to unlock/upgrade.
CRM Trident (Warrior)
The first obtainable Apocalypse weapon is the CRM Trident, available through the Campaign that starts on April 29, 2024.
Apocalyptic Trait: Apocalyptic Damage - When attacking enemies that are {0} levels higher than the user, for each further {1} level higher, weapon damage increases by {2}% (up to a maximum of {3}%)
Special functionality: Reaches 2 spaces away and hits in a cone-shaped area. Overwatch attacks force the enemy to end their turn early. Movement Speed is increased by 2 spaces. When you pass a walker, you have a 100% chance to not be attacked. When attacking 2 or more targets, there's a 75% chance to deal +20% weapon damage (including Apocalyptic Weapon Damage) as extra damage (can be amplified by Lucky).
Charge attack is a bonus attack that inflicts guaranteed Critical Hit.
Traits: Silver Lethal, Gold Destructive, Gold Razor

We are aiming to have a way where you can obtain Apocalypse gear for free. For the first Apocalypse gear, our focus lies with Campaign and Last Stand. With future Apocalypse gear we are planning to give you 60 Apocalypse Tokens through our Campaigns, but this first time we are giving you 120 Apocalypse Tokens. During this first time, tokens are also available by playing Last Stand.
Last Stand
With 3 Last Stand Tickets per week, you can get 15 Apocalypse Tokens on top of the 120 Apocalypse Tokens gathered from the Campaign. You can obtain an Apocalypse Token in Last Stand and Last Stand Expert starting at Wave 4.
Want them earlier?
After your 3 Last Stand Tickets, you are able to play 15 more rounds for 100 Gold each. Each of those sessions will grant you an extra Apocalypse Token, making your total exactly 200 if you play 15 more rounds each week.
Future
Bear with us for a few months, but we are planning to have Apocalypse Tokens in a few unreleased features too! You can look forward to free daily login bonuses, and one of those bonuses might be a yet-to-be-determined amount of Apocalypse Tokens. We're also in the final stages of developing our brand new gameplay mode, but we are still discussing about adding Apocalypse Tokens here as well. More details later!
Tokens are unique
The most important thing to remember is that Apocalypse Tokens are different for each equipment. In the specific case of the CRM Trident, you can obtain the 135 specified Apocalypse Tokens starting on Monday April 29 (Start of Week 1) until Sunday June 2 (End of Week 5). We're aiming to have this information specified in-game at a later point.
Unlock and upgrade
In the Workshop tab, there is a new button that shows the available Apocalypse equipment. When you have 200 tokens, you can assemble them.
After that, they are on your normal list of weapons, ready to be upgraded.

Heirloom Badges
At 1500 and at 2750 Campaign Tokens, you're able to unlock 80 Heirloom Badges, which are used to upgrade Heirlooms for several characters. Currently, three characters already have an Heirloom: Daryl, Rick, and Maggie. Watch RealScotticus' video for more information.

Get 40 Apocalypse Tokens at 1750 Campaign Tokens and get 80 Apocalypse Tokens at 3000 Campaign Tokens for the very first Apocalypse weapon, CRM Trident (Warrior)!
Jadis' CRM Rifle
Class: Hunter
Traits: Silver Large Caliber, Gold Lucky, Gold Lethal
Special Functionality: Attacks in a 60 degree cone. If the survivor using this weapon makes an attack before moving on their turn, they may make a Quick movement after attacking. Deals extra damage. Charge attack is a bonus attack in a line further away that inflicts guaranteed Critical Hit. Attacks toward enemies within 2 spaces of you roots target.
